The Hardest Trails I’ve tried so far Are in Muskoka!

In this weeks video I somewhat successfully completed two black diamond mountain bike trails for the first time. The last couple attempts were not as good. Make sure to check out the ride and how I had a near death experience in the end lol!

Bracebridge’s Resource management Centre Trail Network Breakdown

After a legendary professional bike park in Ontario closed (Buckwallow) just outside of town in Muskoka, the town of Bracebridge did and amazing thing and took on the project of creating these amazing and free to ride mountain bike trails in its Resource Management Centre Forest. They did an amazing job, in my opinion and created not just some extremely challenging trails but an array of difficulty levels that everyone can enjoy!

The forest is easily accessible right off the highway 11 north extension and there are two parking lot options. After being here twice I suggest parking in the north for those easier rides and south to ride those black diamond trails out toward your car. On the other side of the forest is the beautiful muskoka river where there are a few viewing points that bikers and hikers alike can access, hang out and chill with some Muskoka views. Note that this is a shared forest for many activities to make sure to be aware and respect others. The last thing we want is problems with all the old folk on foot!

My Trail RECOMMENDATIONS thus Far

After riding here twice now I have yet to complete all the trails but have tried many. For the Greens my favorite was the Pine Pedaler. This tail is not very difficult but can be fast and flowy making this a great trail for begginers and can be enjoyable for everyone on a group ride. It would be a great warm up or cool down after some of the more difficult trails here.

For the more challenging Blues and Blacks. Area 51, and Body Dump are crazy fun, beautiful and technical as you ride along crazy Rock ledges! Then Down and out, is fast and fun, but make sure to remember the big 5 foot drop mid way! I didn’t and it was a close call!

You can check out all the action in my last video of the area here!
